Printer not recognized on M1 chip

Hi I'm a complete amateur user. 

I have a CHEAP 3D printer called Goofoo Cube. 

I'm also on a Mac with an M1 chip.

Now, Cura runs, but does not recognize my printer at all (definitions provided by Goofoo) They are saying it's because Cura doesn't fully support the M1 chip yet, based of the M1 issues I've heard, that doesn't seem right.

I think they're just blaming Ultimaker for their faulty hardware.

I would welcome any thoughts.

    USB printing is shaky at best. Since Ultimaker printers dont need USB printing, it's not something we support.

     

    That being said; The USB printing has nothing to do with the M1. So they are bullshitting about that. There are certain things that don't work correct on the M1 (rendering, etc).

    That being said; We would welcome fixes from them to resolve the USB printing issues.
