Unnecessary travel moves for new layer

Hello! I'm trying to make the switch away from Simplify3D and am getting started with Cura.

One thing I noticed right away while printing a bridging test is that Cura commands an unnecessary travel move at the start of some layers.

For example:
* Printing 2 pillars, A and B
* After layer N on pillar A is complete, instead of printing layer N+1 on pillar A, it will travel to pillar B first instead.

This doubles the total travel moves required (and wasn't an issue for Simplify3D).

Is there a setting I can change in Cura for this? Or is it intentional? I am mostly worried about stringing, although print time is also a factor.

Thanks!
