First, I am new to 3d printing and Cura. The Cura5 BETA +1 that I have installed starts, but always issues an error related to inability to load the Cura5Announcement plugin.

The pop-up suggests removing the plugin, and restarting, which has been done. Below is that popup.

Bug??  Regression??

It looks like you installed the "Announcement plugin" that is not a plugin but was put in the Marketplace as a way to tell users that more plugins are coming: https://marketplace.ultimaker.com/app/cura/plugins/UltimakerPackages/Cura5Announcement

It also looks like Cura 5 has an issue removing plugins. It will sort itself out with the final (or the next beta if there is a second beta), but you could remove the plugin manually by going to Help -> Show configuration folder, and removing the folder for this plugin in the "plugins" folder of the configuration folder.
