Not just the brim.  It's putting skin in there as well.  (If the model is not proprietary) use the "File | Save Project" command and post the 3mf file.  If it is proprietary then use a model that shows the same behavior and pass along a project file of that one.

You can also try repairing the model with Cura's Mesh Tools, Microsoft 3D Builder, or use an on-line STL repair site.  Sometimes when a logo is embossed the walls have gaps.  That might be what is going on.  That sort of thing has been reported before though so it might be a bug.
