Flow change not showing

I sliced a flow tower from Thingiverse and added M221 commands in the appropriate places in the gcode but when the gcode file is opened the change in flow is not shown. Some flow change is evident in the infill  but not the major changes of 5% every 40 layers. Is it normal for this not to show up or have I done something wrong in the gcode?

Yes, normal M221 instruction as well as M220 are not reconized by the GCode reader of Cura.

If you want to get a vizualisation of your Gcode you can use the GCodeViewer of SuperSlicer
