Cura freezing after "loading UI"

Hey friends!

 

I'm brand new to the 3D printing world. I finished my first print no problemo, but now when trying to open Cura the whole program will freeze after loading UI. Cura's 'window' will open, but it stays a white screen and task manager says it's not responding. It was working fine, until I added the Measuring plugin through my online Ultimaker account and logged into my Ultimaker account in Cura. Before I did any of that, whenever I would try to open the marketplace, cura would freeze and become 'not responding' requring me to do another 'end task' for Cura and re-open the program.

 

The issue seems linked to me being signed into my Ultimaker account and the marketplace. Now, I've uninstalled and re-installed multiple times, and it's not working--I'm still getting the same 'white screen of death.' Any ideas?

It sounds like you may be running into a known issue with (some, but not all) multi-monitor setups. Try (temporarily) disabling all but one display, and see if Cura opens that way. If it does, then in the Cura General preferences uncheck the option to "Restore window position on start", and see if Cura will still start with all your displays enabled.
