Hello there,

I wanted to change from Simplify3D to Cura and got this as evidence that Cura seems not so fat as I thought and so many say.

Why cant Cura do proper auto-supports which go of easy?

This is a wasted 9 hours print ... thanks!

Regards

    Hey @LeSeule,

Welcome to the Ultimaker Community 🎉
Sorry to hear that your supports are failing. 😕

Would you like us to help with troubleshooting?

I believe it might just be a case of finding the correct settings for your pinter.

Do you have a project file for us? It contains the printer and settings we need for troubleshooting.
To save a project file go to File -> Save project.

I got this same issue until I read a post that said to change the interface support density from 75 to 35. I am using a setting of 30. It seems to work better. I am using CURA 5.2

    Hi Mari,

happy new year and thanks for reply.

Yes indeed very sad, as I saw so many videos about "how cool Cura is".
Also the issue how to manage the "part after part" printing is way to complex compared to Simplify3D.
That it depends on the order how the parts are loaded into the slicer is non-logical.

I will check back later if I can find the data. But I guess I killed Cura and all files of it as reaction on this "mega" result.

But I am sure that everything was default, as I dont play around where I am not safe with.
So my real-life test was a good example how "beginner-friendly" Cura is in fact.

    Regards,

    Philippe
