What the Back-up plug-in does is create a copy of your configuration folder and load it when requested.
You can do the same without the back-up plugin!
Go to Help at the top bar of Cura
Select Show Configuration Folder
Select all the folders in there and create a zip OR go up a folder in your folder structure and zip your folder with the correct Cura version
Load the zip folder on an USB
Open the Cura configuration folder on your new computer
Load the contents of your zip folder on the new computer
That is a method I use for troubleshooting other people, when I need to make sure I have the same plug-ins, materials and profiles loaded.
Another Cura release has arrived and in this 5.8 beta release, the focus is on improving Z seams, as well as completing support for the full Method series of printers by introducing a profile for the UltiMaker Method.
We are happy to announce the next evolution in the UltiMaker 3D printer lineup: the UltiMaker Factor 4 industrial-grade 3D printer, designed to take manufacturing to new levels of efficiency and reliability. Factor 4 is an end-to-end 3D printing solution for light industrial applications
