3mf Issue

Dear community,

I'm having some trouble while importing 3mf to Cura; specifically, I don't get anymore the option to decide whether to import only models or to do it as a project, as it directly does the first, applying the current settings to the part. This way, I'm losing all the modifications I did previously, that is, material, layer height, temperatures, adhesion, etc. Strangely enough, this only happens if I save as a 3mf from "Slice" option in the bottom right, but not if I do it from the "File > Save project" route.

So, I guess that by doing this the first way I'm not really saving the project? Can I recover the lost setting data?

I hope somebody can help me

Correct! We have two ways of saving a 3MF. One is exporting, the other is saving it as a project. In the past, we would also call a project .curaproject.3mf and an exported one .3mf. Unfortunately, not all operating systems handle this as well, so this was removed at some point.

You can recover settings from sliced g-codes if you still have them. If you import the g-code in the profiles menu, it should extrtact them.
