GCode per filament?

If you know the gcode commands that control that fan and you are sure that the firmware understands those commands, then it's possible you could use the "Search and Replace" post-processor to change the fan speed at certain layers.

Your not giving us much to go on so that's a guess.

    Yes I know the gcode to use, but I can't figure out how to get cura to apply it per filament. 

    I'm only printing one filament at a time.

     

    I'm not sure how changing fan speed based on layer helps.. I want to set it per filament.. like if I'm printing ABS I need one speed, if I'm printing PLA I need another speed so I can tune it to not smell but also not have so much cold air sucked in the part warps.
