Posted · 0.6 CC Print Core not compatible with PETG ??

Cura is saying the CC 0.6 is not compatible with PETG, this seems very odd, UM developed the Aracna Engine to use bigger nozzles but don't provide a 0.6 which works with PETG ?, is there any reason why the CC does not work with PETG but the AA does ?

You can find the details about this here: https://support.makerbot.com/s/article/1667337922171

But the short answer is that UltiMaker never intended the CC core to be used for general materials that were not abrasive.

You can manually alter profiles to make it accept it (others have done this) but UltiMaker does not do any validation testing of the printcore with non-abrasive materials so your mileage my vary.

As to why a 0.6 AA core does not exist? 🤷‍♂️

indeed, a AA06 seems like the most obvious and needed option. That's a very confusing gap in the nozzles available, seems little point in having the Aracna engine and all its clever calculations to run bigger nozzles and you cannot buy a bigger nozzle for PLA !!
