I keep getting a bed leveling error on my UM5 when i send a file that has a post processing script with it. The script I am using is from the calibration object or the temp tower for PLA. I've tried the same thing with one that isnt sliced with a post processing script and it runs just fine. Is this an issue with the slice or the printer?

You didn't mention which plugin but 5axes is the author of a couple of them.  His screen name here is @Cuq and he may take a look at this for you.  We are into the weekend though so it may not be until Monday.

In the meantime if you could recreate the exact situation in Cura (same model and same settings) and use the File | Save Project command and then post the 3mf file here he will have something to work with.

Not sure you can use this script with this machine. The Gcode of a UM S5 have some M104 instruction added by Cura and I don't think you can use a temptower postprocessing script in this case. But As I'm not a USer of this machine I cannot comfirm this first analyse.

UM S5 are using the Auto temperature option so Temperature are modified according to the extruded volume.  The Script doesn't work in this case because the value are also changed by cura.

I not sure if that it the full reason. I tried the support blocker to reduce unnecessary support on my prints and its given me the same error as the temperature tower. I think either the UM5 or Cura for the UM5 is creating an error when a plugin is used. I will try an older version to check if its Cura.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
