Cura will not slice larger files

I'm currently trying to print ANY type of helmet, such as Wolverine, EDO Halo, Clonetrooper, etc. None of them will slice, as it gives me an error. (See image) I was able to slice and print the Deathstroke mask, but it's smaller and would use less material than the other helmets. I've never had this issue other than when I've tried to get into printing helmets. Has anybody else had this issue, and if so, how did you fix it? Thank you!

Many of the masks/helmets I've seen have errors in them.  Those errors need to be addressed BUT removing the errors is not a guarantee that 5.4.0 will slice them.  There have been numerous reports on Github that involve error-free models that 5.4.0 simply will not slice.

4.13.1 has (so far) sliced all of them.  Unless the errors in the model are severe (been known to happen) Cura 4.13.1 will often slice them without repair.

My ranking of 5.4.0 continues to fall.

Thank you! It has worked so far. However, I'm currently trying to slice an ARC Trooper helmet and it's taking forever to slice. But regardless, it's worked! Thank you!

    Hey Greg,

I remember a kind of ranking of available slicers which included some fork / non official version. I can't find it anymore, can you repost it here or in Private Message ? Thanks !

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
