Hi,

All of a sudden I have this weird problem. When I slice a model in Cura (5.3.0 + Xmas), the dimensions are ok and scaling is 100%. But when I print on my Ender 5 via Octoprint and Pi4 the actual printed model is 5mm bigger. Last time I printed (week ago) it was just fine.

Maybe someone knows where to look?

Summary:

- Scale is 100% and dimensions are ok in Cura when sliced

- converted in mm and sliced in mm

- when printed overall design is 5mm bigger

- All is tightened and checked on printer (Steps are correct)

- Printing with Cura 530 + Xmas and send to printer with Pi4 and octoprint.

Thanks!

There's a bunch of settings in Cura that could potentially affect this. If you could provide the Cura project file (.3mf, go to File > Save Project in Cura) that would be great.

    Also a couple of things:

    • Have you tried a more recent version of Cura? The version you're using is nearly 10 months old and isn't a stable release to begin with.
    • Have you looked at the g-code to see if the code produced is the correct size?
    • Have you tried printing directly from the printer (using an SD card)?
    • Have you updated the software on your Pi (especially Octoprint) in the last week? There was a new version of Octoprint released yesterday.
    • Have you updated your printer's firmware recently?

(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
