Posted · dual monitors still causing issues??

I know quite a while ago i had quit using cura due to the issues with dual monitors. but since I have built my new system it had been working fine until It just didnt. It has started the white screen when startin cura and that is where it bricks. Is this still an ongoing issue or do I need to look into something else doing this now. I was using prusa until the new motherboard install and then Nahimic caused issues with it so I dont know now but am getting fruistrated

The problem doesn't just lie with Cura, but the Qt widget toolkit it uses, so it might be properly fixed until (if) patches come from upstream.

Anyway, to try and get Cura running again:

    1. Go to %APPDATA\cura\5.6\ (or whatever version you're using)
    2. Open cura.cfg (notepad will do)
    3. In the [general] section at the top, delete the lines that start with window (they hold the position, size and state it was in and can get messed up with multiple monitors)
    4. Disable all but your main monitor (just temporary, we want to do all we can make sure Cura loads)
    5. Open Cura
    6. Go to Preferences > Configure Cura
    7. In General (the default pane when it opens), under Viewport Settings turn off Restore window position at start
    8. Close Cura, re-enable your extra monitors.
    9. Make an offering to the display gods, and hope that Cura will open reliably in the future.

Completing 1-3 is all it took. I have been battling this for over a year now. Changing main displays and disconnecting things and reconnecting things. Finally an easy fix....lol. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
