Hi,

At this point in time I have both a 3 and an S3 in my workshop. The S3 was acquired for a very reasonable price and the 3 is on sale with a potential buyer coming by some time soon.

Whilst editing a project in Cura with the 3, I switched to the S3 in my profile and suddenly all the new profiles that could be selected disappeared. If I chose a test S3 profile, I could select the profiles, but when I selected the connected S3. The profiles disappeared. Only factory resetting the S3 restored the profiles (although the Visual Fast is still missing).

How could I restore these without a factory reset? How can I acquire the profiles to import them from scratch if this happens again?

I'm not sure I can answer why factory resetting the printer restored the profiles (because Cura plays ball with Ultimaker printers and I have an Ender-3 it begrudgingly produces gcode for), but quality profiles are usually tied to printers, so two different ones might not have mutually compatible profiles, especially since Ultimaker tune the profiles for each model individually.

After looking into the mechanism I think it could be because I had the wrong material selected. This seems to only be applicable with PLA.
