Posted · material retracts back to material station

Im not sure if this  is normal or not, it does seem strange that at the end of a print a

Printcore 1 only pulls the filament out like an inch.

While Printcore 2 retracts all the way back to the material station?

would this have to do with printcore 1 being loaded with pva? maybe that type of filament dosent retract due to its brittleness?

Thanks,'

Ryan

I find it odd that you use PVA in slot 1 vs slot 2... but either case, yes this is normal.
There is a timeout.. i forget how long but its in the several hours range at which point it will eventually retract the PVA all the way back to the material station

    thanks for the reply,

yea i had it in slot 2 for the longest time, i ended up having to replace the bowden tube as it was causing issues with pva. so i have just kept it in 1 since.

ok that makes sense about the timeout , But why only Printcore 2 ?

in the picture the PLA was fully retracted , the PVA you see never retracts further than that.

its not really causing problems as it works fine, But just curious as to why one and not the other.
