He does say though : "the support slices with gaps between the layers and when I print the PVA doesn't stick to the lower layer" ==> I don't know if this representation has not any impact on the actual Gcode and travel.
I find myself having hard time to print PVA that won't stick to itself and I would definitely say that it's especially the case when Support Layer Thickness is at 0.3mm when everything else print at 0.1mm, that would be ignoring the causality fallacy : the actual model i'm using this setting with, are the most difficult and very prone to fail because of tiny patch of PVA, discontinuous lines, etc. So it might just be that instead of various layer thickness being at root cause.

You have Support > Support Infill Layer Thickness set to twice your normal thickness. Cura's preview mode doesn't support different layer heights in the same layer, so it just draws fat lines every second layer. It doesn't affect the print at all, it will print as intended.
