I would really like help from Ultimaker to get cura ( and older version ) working on my mac still no further forward despite asking on here before as of yet I've to find an answer odr someone who can really help .

It all Started when i had my mac reformatted  as it had performance issues and i was advised this was a good thing to do ! it worked the performance issues disappeared and my Mac was like new ! thing was i never backed up cura as ii thought that id simply be able to download it again and carry on with the printer settings that i had saved from the previous version that i was using 4.6. This has proven to be Very hard as of yet I've not been able to get it working its won't even open on my mac the  app just bounces up and down on the start up bar ! !

I've tried the latest version of cura but  my prints aren't coming out any where near the quality they did when i was using the older version

if anyone could help it would be much appreciated i have a printer waiting to print stuff but currently can't

Many Thanks Mark

Don't double post. If you formatted your hard drive/SSD, your old printer settings are lost since they're stored locally. UltiMaker accounts are only used for plugin synchronisation. If you have used your computer significantly since then, file recovery is likely to be impossible as the data will have overwritten.

Support is no longer offered for versions 4.x of Cura, but you may have better luck if you try the last release for that series (4.13.1).

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
