Posted · change the ultimaker s5 from a dynamic IP address to a static Ip address

I currentlly am operating the UltiMaker s5 with firmware 8.2.0 running on a DHCP IP address. I need to specify a static IP address. I tried the "ultimaker_network.config" file as specified by ultimaker but when I go to the "setup network with usb" menu the import from usb is not selectable. I have tried everything. The cable has been unplugged as instructed, the usb is less tha 32gb formatted to FAT32.

Friendly Assistant Mod Slashee note: I'm moving this to this "UltiMaker printers" board since this really isn't a Cura thing (and they'll be a lot more knowledgeable about this sort of thing).

Would it be an option for you to assign a static IP address on your DHCP server (router)? This does not require you to modify your printer, and it will let you manage your static IP addresses in a central place (your router/DHCP server).
