Hello

I think the title says it all, but how do I identify certainly a scratched nozzle?

Meets a magnifying glass for viewing the nozzle, or I have to use bigger guns?

How should look like a smooth horizontal PLA surface, at a 0.4mm nozzle? Has anyone suitable examples?

Can a slightly scratched nozzle to be repaired, eg by polishing or grinding?

Has anyone tried it?

Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions.

Markus

There was a thread here in the forum about polishing / sanding UM1 nozzle a few months ago. It seems, that with the right equipment one can even improve the performance of a new noozle.

Personally, I haven't tried any of these procedures. I'm still a bit sceptical about mechanical treatment of a nozzle.
