retraction

Hi

One of my prints just finished and I was watching it print the 2 last pieces. It was printing to tubes in PLA and one tube had stings coming off and the other was fine.

I noticed it was only retracting from the tube on the Left to the right but when it would return from the tube on the right there was no retraction.

would this be one of my settings or is it a fault Somewhere?

I'm not sure how to post the gcode or settings here. If you need them I can find out.

In expert settings under retraction set those min distances to zero and see if that fixes it.

You don't have to print anything to see what will happen - after it slices you can look in layer view and retraction is displayed graphically by showing a small vertical blue line attached to the horizontal movement line. That vertical line is not an actual movement but instead represents the act of retraction at the start of the move.

So many things to check before you print. I guess over time you will know what to look for depending on the design.
