material feed assembly problems.

Recommended Posts

Posted · material feed assembly problems.

In the assembly instructions there are things like: "manual extrusion should work without too much force".

As this is my first ultimaker, I don't know what "too much force" is. But I think that works.

How fast should the machine be able to turn the extrusion wheel? It moves really really slowly and I can't get it to extrude anything realiistic.

Also after extruding, there is a lot of drooping.

I've managed to print the test-cube, with manual pressure on the PLA material. Of course the quality is very bad as I didn't know when the machine didn't want any extrusion...

So, there seems something wrong with my material feed assembly. What could be wrong? How am I supposed to test it? Can I manually test it with the control panel? (Should I be able to see the PLA material move? It now moves so slowly that you can hardly see the wheel move, you can put your finger on it and it seems to do something....)

Is it normal that it takes 5 seconds after I press "stop" in the control panel to come to a halt?

P.S. Oh...

the second picture shows TWO delrin parts. I THINK the current version comes as one piece, correct?

Derlin parts come as one, but you got to make them two, and assembly like instruction says.

Then, I think you may have same problem I did.

My first print here: IMG_1311.JPG

Solution is to set in gcode "M92 E850", that made more PLA usage for printing (I have Marlin FW).
