How to limit combing distance ?

Is there a way to stop combing travel across entire model perimeter (like half a meter) when it only needs about 50mm to get to where it needs to continue print ?

I cant disable combing, because retraction rate will be insane.

I cant decrease retraction because it will not retract where i need and using plugins doesnt solve anything since retraction is distance based no matter what you do.

Can you show an example where this is happening? Because there are some conditions in the code to prevent insane amounts of combing when a quick retract would be faster.

Are you looking to pick up speed by avoiding the comb? Or are you worried about it affecting the print quality? I quite like the way cura performs combing with the retract while combing plugin enabled (with a relatively high 3mm or greater minimum distance for retract on the plugin).

If you're looking to pick up speed by skipping the combing moves, I dunno.

I am looking for 2 things. Finish wall before switching to another wal and retract before switching.

But here is a video that shows combing going wild.

There are 2 instances of travel in the video, 1st at the very begining and 2nd almost at the end.
