Small black gear

Hi,

When applying force on the small black gear onto the axle, my black gear broke. This is for the feeder pat of the printer fyi. Has anyone else had this problem?

It usually is very strong, and very difficult to break.

Have you already contacted technical support for a new part?

If you have a laser cutter at your convenience, and 6mm Delrin you could also make yourself a new one. The drawings are on github.

Thank you for your quick reply, I emailed support for the new part, I'm also going to look into whether this part can be 3d printed as I have a friend with a printer as well.

i broke mine when installing it onto the motor. make sure you are putting it on the right motor. the material feeder motor has a flat part on the spindle that corresponds to a flat part on the gear's hole. this part is available on github to print
