i was playing with the idea to park it on my office table between me and 3 other engineers. would that work, If i put down a nice soft blanket on the table and rested the ultimaker on that, would it be pssible or would the engineers kill me for the vibration and noise ? Would it also be possible to sound proof the ultimaker a little ? build a skeleton with cardboard and stirofoam around the structure ? with view gaps built in to monitor progress ? Ian

i dont have one yet BUT if this belt broke, where can we get replacement parts ? i dont see them for sale on the ultimaker website ? what would a new belt cost ? Ian

thanks hope they get the message. having a forum is nice BUT !! when people realise the ULTI guys are never here and just dont care when a million russian spam bots blast the forum into a million pieces, then it will be a really pity for a possible great start. Ian

i think you sit down with your ulltimaker alone. make lots of coffee and have a big bar of chocolate ready. then hit print, make lots of mistakes for a day or two and then GUESS WHAT... you start realising, oh if i do this or that, its better. then you come and chat with us and we shoot you some more ideas. the thing i love about this is, i always just modeled 3d in the computer. But now i have the chance to make my ideas, actually resting in my hand. the other cool thing is, with ultimaker, the community of users will just get bigger and stronger and as that happens, improvments and tips will just get better and faster. so enjoy the ride. can you please show us some photos of your biuld and the colours used. I would love to do my ultimaker with blue and white, but i am so scared that when the pictures are coated, something will just jam or not fit. I would love to hear from the ultimaker guys, if the possibility of having the ultimaker laser cut from a colored material was possible ? Ian
