  1. I seem to have a weird problem, all the Cura versions I use suddenly behave differently,

All of a sudden all the prints start with the bed moving towards the nozzle, and the nozzle scraping over the bed to start the print, and not the head moving towards the start of the print, and the bed gradually moving upwards, like it used to.

I can think of only one thing that has changed to cause this, and that is a recent update of OSX I did on both computers, that is the only change made to both computers with both versions of Cura ?

I did a reset of all Cura settings, but did not help.

  2. Even if you change out the nozzle to print ABS, you still will have trouble with splitting layers if you don't enclose the printer, for small low objects it's ok, for taller and more solid objects you could see problems :)

I could never really get nice ABS prints on my UM-original, so I switched to Colorfabb-XT, it prints more like PLA, and has the high temperature resistance like ABS, and you can use fans to cool the object.

  3. I need to print some technical objects, and I want to use infill for a grate look, but the travel lines keep making it look less good.

is there a way to keep the travel outside the object ?

It is much faster to make then drawing all of it and using a 0.25 nozzle :) and not print to and bottom layer.

    Not my part.
