  1. The problem is that the spammers created hundreds or more accounts, and start spamming after a while,

if the admins don't delete the accounts made around one period, with zero posts and from the same country, then this will go on for months.

  2. It looks like the z-platform doesn't lower correctly at those times causing under extrusion.

Is the height where these happen the same in all prints ?

you could clean the leadscrew and reapply some grease

  3. My second attempt at a new clear cast was a failure, and it killed the mold too! :(, I have a lot to learn; room temp, amount of hardener, air contact, mold composition....hopefully Ill get there. this resin doesnt like air! so while it is hard, the surface is ultra tacky.

To get the best results with transparent resins you need to use Platinum based silicone molds (more expensive)

Tin base rubbers (most common) reacts with the resin to create a tacky surface.

as far as I know only epoxy clear resin has no problems with tin based rubbers.

  4. I can't wait to see a NFC chip dongle you can program yourself, and attach to your own spools.

then you can dial in the perfect setup for non UM materials

And I like to know, when they printed with PVA support, how long it took to clean off with water.

it could increase finishing a print significantly.

  5. I'm surprised no one is speculating about the fuzzy images shown on the website yet....

It looks like a UM2+S, the bowden seems to be relocated at the right side now.

So, is there going to be a launch party at Ultimaker HQ ?

    I would go :)

    [pretty please !]

  6. For me "a few" is 2 or 3 ;)

Your telling me " een paar maanden" ?

and a "paar" is 2 :LOL

I hear what you are saying, but I already delayed the purchase for 2 months, and I have to make the decision this week :(

Guess I am going to be one of those buyers, that reads about the new UM3 weeks after buying the UM2's :)

  7. The people that could tell you have NDAs that prevent them to do that...

But in this interview from early this year: https://all3dp.com/ultimaker-interview/

Jos (Ultimaker CEO) said “we will launch new machines this year with new functionalities and new software. Even sooner than a lot of people would expect it.”

And that's why I thought it would be out by now :D

is there a big 3D printing even still happening this year, where they might launch the new model ?

It's getting really silly with all these company secrets (But I do know why), but all it does is frustrate users :(

  8. I am also in a big dilemma, I want to buy bunch of UM's (10) for my workplace,

I convinced them that UM is the better choice, but I would look real silly if UM will release a newer version in the next month or so :D

I am tempted to look for another printer, that just renewed it's lineup, so I would be sure as not to look like a fool :(

can anybody give me a hint if I should go ahead and order or wait a month or two ?

or privately give me a go or no ?

  9. All the T-Rex parts were already printed and painted to fit the skeleton,

but I saw the most if not all were printed in small segments and added to each other.

not as long as the z-unlimited could go, I think they kept the prints to be able to print in working hours, and seem to be around 15 cm high

A few had a little pillowing on the outside, where you could see the fill pattern, but only in reflection of the light.

As far as I have read, they 3D scanned/ CT Scanned parts en mirrored/printed these.

there is a schematic at the exhibition that shows what is real / printed / replicas from other skeletons.

it is for 80% real, and is the most complete T-Rex ever found :)

After 9 months, it will go on a world tour, so keep an eye out.
