  1. very good point! so we guesstimate... half order are single UM? who knows but we're stil at 1000 UM/year... I think they're laughing loudly... well they deserve it  counting UM, TOM, Replicators, REPRAP and other 3d economic printers I think the 3dprinting movement is growing really fast and that's soooo good... this means faster improvement, faster SW upgrade... I like it...
  2. order 1676 on 1.3 order 1662 in 29.2 at least 16 ULTIMAKER ordered in 2 days, now we know why they are really working hard buildin kits... (this means about 2000-2500 new ultimakers in a year... the community is growing fast!)
  3. hi, I downloaded meshlab, cool piece of software indeed but... I really don't undertand the large number of filters it has. Is Meshlab useful for something in particular (more than converting files) like repairing or visualizing defective meshes? How to use it in a 3dprinting common workflow like this: 1 3d editing (sketchup or blender or sculptris etc etc) 2 file conversion (original to stl) 3 slicing 4 gcoding 5 printing COuld meshlab repair, edit, verify or at least doing something useful more than file conversion? thanks! andrea (waiting for the UM...)
  4. hi, I am still waiting for my UM but I have a good experience with cnc. Verify if the non-roundness is the same if you print on different place of the base, verify if there is non-roundness also in multiply of the measure you told (15-30-45), verify again if the calibration (mm/step) is correct at different scale objects, verify if the mechanical movement is fluid. at the end you could think about swapping the x and the Y motors to see if the squashing is changing axis, try to plot different gcode ( I mean use a pen and not the PLA/ABS) and use simple gcode for different shapes of different sizes. (a simple mach 3 demo could be useful to obtain the gcode) last but not least: good luck! Come on delivery boy...I'm waiting and I'm starting to be nervous...
  5. 40 days from order to delivering... 6 week and half... just a bit more than the 4-6 weeks hypothesis... but it's never too soon for an ultimaker... and now enjoy REAL 3D creation!!! ...come on delivery boy I'm waiting...
