Hi,
i had a similar problem. The solution was, after cleaning the hot End, that i had mounted the brass pipe in the wrong direction. The other point of my problem was, the my filament is to thick (2.98 - 3.14mm). When i am using the ultimaker filament everthing works fine.

sorry for the double post. Yes, you are right it seems to be the same problem. I hope the print will be finished without any error.

I am printing a vase, which had an very long printing time. The estimated printing time (Cura) was about 56 hours.
Normaly the Ulticrontroller shows me the progress status in % and it works correctly. After about 23 hours the progres status switch from 22% to 0% at this printing project. Today, after about 14 hours, the progress status swiched again to 0%.
Is this a normal behavior / bug?

i can only say is what i personally observe.
When you use a fan you are able to print faster or if you print small things the PLA get the form you want.
try to print this:

For me it was not possible to print the pyramid without problems after the 3. 5mm Layer. With fan the result was ok.

I only print the first layer without fan. I have got the same problem at the beginning. After same nice calls we found a solution and i got a lot of very usefull tips. Now my fan is working and the results are much better then without fan.

ok i will try it. I think it have to be a SW problem, because moving the z-plattform stops after reaching the end stop. (Automoving to 0,0,0 works fine)

I am very new with Cura.
I think that in general Cura runs on my System 10.8.2 but i have some trouble with the calbration.
-
there was only one possibilty... ?
i plug the black electronic cable to the fan cable (2 pins) and the other end (2 pins purlple, blue) to the electronic board between the endstopper and the x motor.
-
ok sorry... you are right. I talking about the Hot End fan

I build my Ultimaker, but i am not shure weather all is working fine.
I have made my first prints and they look optimziable but akzeptible.
But i wondering about the extruder fun. The fun is not working. I checked the connections but i found no misstake.
-
x and y calibration works now. But the z calibration will not work. I can touch the end stopper per Hand but there is no reaction. I have have checked the cabeling but i found no mistake..
-
ok i found the solution. i have to switch right and left stopper
-
Ok, Thank you.
I have switched to Windows and i installed Cura to see weather the check runs there.
But i still have a Problem. I failed again. After temperature check i should press X End in front left corner. I moved the extruder bye hand to left but nothing happens.

I build me Ultimaker und want to first start it
I start Cura and do the firmware update. (I hope it was not a mistake) After the Firmware update the checkup wizard start. But after some seconds i get a message to move the extrude to the middle, but the extruder is in the middle.
here the log:
