wie viele Stunden hat er denn jetzt?

Moin Churchill,

just build your own tumbler: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:935252
here is what I did with its help last week:

Really nice quality, I'll bookmark their webstore. Now with the Ultimaker 2+ there shouldn't be any problem with using 3mm filament instead of 2.85mm, but with the Ultimaker 2 there were some problems because of the friction and relative low torque.
Thank you very much for the info!
The filament of http://www.dasfilament.de/ is 2,85 and not 3mm

Update:

Sorry, it isn't. It is a model made by an English engineer for us as a gift
The files are not our property.
to bad, this thing is really cool :(
thanks for your quick reply, anyway

sorry for being OT, but I have a question regarding the image in the first post:
Is the model of the radial engine available anywhere?
-
I think I'll give this filament a try in the future! I had been searching for cheap 2.85mm filament for weeks, but all the cheap filament is 3-3.1mm diameter and I know that this diameter doesn't work properly with the UM bowden tube.
Thanks for sharing!
If you don't mind to order in Germany you should also consider to try this: www.dasfilament.de
(no, they don't pay me for this message, I am just a notorious money saver )
I have tried 2.85 and 1.75 diameters for several projects and it worked really well.
Example (sorry for bad photo quality):

This is just to share my final results with Fusion 360:
1. create threads (for example M12x1,75)
2. push the tip of the flank for a certain amount (depends on the thread size). For the given thread 0,2mm worked fine
3. round the edges of the flank tips (again 0,2mm was fine)
4. do the same for the bolt and nut
short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IneE1eyvuuc
I made two test prints and both worked directly from the printbed.

Autocalibration does not take nozzle size into account, but you do specify this in Cura when you slice your stuff. Since there are several settings depending on nozzle size (shell thickness for example), I don't think autocalibration should mess with that.
...
I just meant the size difference in Z not the diameter
-
changing nozzles without auto calibration is no problem as long as the nozzles are equidistant (which is the case for the 3dsolex nozzles). I change nozzles 3-4 times a week on two different printers and the minor re-leveling is made within a few seconds while the printer prints the skirt.
@nicolinux: does the auto calibration recognize the difference between two nozzles, or do you have to tweak the firmware?
On my printrbot I have to tweak the firmware after a nozzle change allthough it has auto leveling. This takes more time than turning some screws. But may be the printrbot leveling is just not intelligent enough?

I encountered the same problem in Fusion 360 and created a work-around which I haven't tested until now:
- create nut and bolt like you described (for example M12x1,5)
- the inner diameter of the nut for M12x1,5 is ~10,5mm ( I know it's actually 10,5xy )
- go to sketch a circle on the center of your nut with a diameter of 10,8 (or may be larger)
- extrude this circle "through" your nut, so that the cylinder cuts away the inner 0,3mm of the thread.
- now you should have a nut that fits "your bolt"
And yes, this is not very elegant nor high quality design, but it will work for sure.

Joerg

I love the manual leveling. F.e. the new felix has mechanical auto leveling with multiple mini motors build under the bed... just looks over complicated to me for a non-issue.
100% correct. That's exactly what I think when I see all this over-engineered stuff

Moin zusammen,

I wrote to igo3d so many times emails with a part numbers from Ultimaker assembly guide and they delivered my orders in two three days. Just info.
ok, this may be a solution. But this way you:
- have to write someone and wait for the answer
- don't know the prices
- don't know if it is in stock or not
Pretty inconvenient compared to putting things in a cart and just order your parts, isn't it?
Anyway, may be it will change in future...
-
Similar problems in Germany: igo3d doesn't have the most spare parts in stock. Others aren't even listed (i.e. Belts, pulleys,...). Since the Ultimaker store has disappeared it is harder to get spare parts, that's all about it.
May be I am too stupid but I can't understand this treatment of your customers.
