  1. Thanks @neotko I'm going to buy a bowden tube, and print a |Robert| Feeder.
  2. Thanks @dim3nsioneer I will try oil if no better solution.
  3. Thanks @swordriff I will try that. The shipping fee is really a pain for me, it costs too much to ship from Europe or USA to China.
  4. Someone already post the issue here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/122
  5. Two problems: 1. Need to add that material continuously, extra effort ; 2. It cost extra fee...
  6. Thanks, @xeno The problem is that the 3mm filament may be deviation in the 3mm, maybe +/- 0.05mm or even more. Add a drop of oil is not a *long term* solution:) The bowden tube is big enough for 3mm filament through, but it's clogged in the nozzle as I tried.
  7. I found that it's really hard to buy 2.85mm filament on my country, but have many choices for 3.0mm filaments. So I want to do some modification on my UM2 and make it works for real 3.0mm filament. Is changing a nozzle that accept 3.0mm filament enough? I use PLA most time. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks.
  8. @InertialPrint Have you test the new bowden tube now? I really need your test result as it's hard for me to buy 2.85mm filament. Only 1.75mm and 3.0mm filaments are sold in my country as I know.
  9. Just get some error log from Cura.log: Exception in thread Thread-10: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\avr_isp\stk500v2.py", line 29, in connect self.serial = Serial(str(port), speed, timeout=1, writeTimeout=10000) File "c:\dev\python34\lib\site-packages\serial\serialwin32.py", line 38, in __init__ File "c:\dev\python34\lib\site-packages\serial\serialutil.py", line 282, in __init__ File "c:\dev\python34\lib\site-packages\serial\serialwin32.py", line 66, in open serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port 'COM3': PermissionError(13, 'Access Denied', None, 5) During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File "c:\dev\python34\lib\threading.py", line 921, in _bootstrap_inner File "c:\dev\python34\lib\threading.py", line 869, in run File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\PrinterConnection.py", line 140, in _updateFirmware programmer.connect(self._serial_port) File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\avr_isp\stk500v2.py", line 31, in connect raise ispBase.IspError("Failed to open serial port") USBPrinting.avr_isp.ispBase.IspError: 'Failed to open serial port' Exception in thread Thread-7: Traceback (most recent call last): File "c:\dev\python34\lib\threading.py", line 921, in _bootstrap_inner File "c:\dev\python34\lib\threading.py", line 869, in run File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\PrinterConnection.py", line 140, in _updateFirmware programmer.connect(self._serial_port) File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\avr_isp\stk500v2.py", line 46, in connect if self.sendMessage([0x10, 0xc8, 0x64, 0x19, 0x20, 0x00, 0x53, 0x03, 0xac, 0x53, 0x00, 0x00]) != [0x10, 0x00]: File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\avr_isp\stk500v2.py", line 143, in sendMessage return self.recvMessage() File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Cura_15.06.01\plugins\USBPrinting\avr_isp\stk500v2.py", line 151, in recvMessage raise ispBase.IspError("Timeout") USBPrinting.avr_isp.ispBase.IspError: 'Timeout' It's just COM3 according Device Manager. 10. I met this problem too. I'm using 15.02 before. After installing 15.06.01, can't update firmware.
  11. Thanks all. Of cause, I won't print something sharp. Thanks @neotko, it's the first time that I hear about 'fda approved filaments', that really helpful for me.
  12. I want to print some toys for one of my friends' little son. But is PLA safe enough as the child may put the toy into his mouth or something like this. Is it poisonous for a child? Thanks.
  13. Finally, I made it. No leaning now. Thanks @labern again
  14. As you know, we can set print speed in Cura. My question is does the feeder will feed material more quickly if I set higher speed? I just wonder whether not enough material is released if I set high print speed. Thanks.
  15. @labern Nice to see you online. I have tried to open the extruder, but failed due to three of the four screws stripping. Maybe need to buy some good ones to replace original ones, but don't know where to buy:angry:
  16. OK, I haven't post a hello message. I think I will do this after printing a good enough one:D
  17. I also has such requirement... Can UM2 just save the progress info (gcode) into disk when pausing? So after power off and power on, it remember where to continue.
  18. Thanks, @labern I'm trying to fix this problem according your link. And will give feedback after testing. Another thing I want to mention here is that the screws of UM2 are really low-quality. It's easy to slip when using hex wrenches (the edges are scuffed), and I'm doubting whether the screws are able to loose again.
  19. @danilius So how can I known which part is loose? If the belt is loose, I don't think it can be tightened after printing. Thanks.
  20. @DidierKlein I just find that the captcha can't been shown in China, which is the root cause. Now I'm able to create new topic with a VPN, please give me some comments on my new created topic, thanks.
  21. Hello, everyone I just got my Ultimaker 2 last week. I have got some leaning prints, as see in the picture: And I also get some good ones: What confused me is that I can print cube (show in the picture) successfully just after printing a leaning one, without any adjusting. Here are some more information: The leaning problem only occurred on the direction from back of UM2 to front, or from front to the back. I'm using Cura 15.02.1, with the latest firmware. I'm using "Normal print" quickprint profile. I'm using windows 8.1 x64. Any comments are welcome, thanks.
  22. I get my UM2 three days ago, but already get three failed prints. I have post a thread here but seems it's still not reviewed by moderator. I'm wondering whether this reply will be reviewed and shown.
