If you haven’t already it’s worth checking the white “housing” at the back of the build plate for rubbing against the linear bearing shafts. Mine makes contact in my S3 and makes noise at the top and bottom of the build plate travel. I haven’t found a fix yet, the holes simply don’t align to the shafts.

I get the same. I’m on macOS 11.0.1 and Cura 4.8. It happens frequently enough that I’ve gone back to using 4.7.1 unless I need something like the improved Arrange All Models function
