Hello, I've been a decently long time user of cura, and its been great with all the new features and ease of use which separate it from other slicers, but I find that there are some well needed features that cura is missing, which I think are:
separate first layer speeds
More specifically, individual speed control for stuff like the walls and infill, the reason for this is because I personally find that the first layer takes up a lot of time, taking sometimes multiple hours just to do the first layer, and I think that the time that it takes can be heavily reduced if given the option to customise the speed that the first layer prints at.
Usually, the walls are where all the intricate and detailed lines are going to be, so it makes sense for the first layer speed to be quite slow, where as the infill has mostly smooth curves and straight lines, as well as already having a wall to stick to, which means you'll be able to print faster with a faster first layer infill speed, without worrying about bed adhesion issues, while also having much faster first layer print times.
percentage print speeds
Self explanatory really, instead of having set values for each of the print speed values like the outer wall print speed, infill print speed, and all the other settings, instead, also have percentage print speeds along side them, where the "print speed" setting is 100%, you'll be able to automatically customise the speed of all the other options just by adjusting the percentage value of the different sections of the print, and will also reduce the fuss of manually adjusting each value when wanting to run a different speed.
Pretty much the same reason for the first suggestion, where it would greatly reduce the print time, as well as save time adjusting each speed value for the individual options.
I hope people will read this and take notice about these ideas that I've made, and hopefully maybe even this will reach out to the people of ultimaker and cura and hopefully make these features a reality, many thanks!
