There is a UltiEvening next monday, where we dutch people meet up in real life, and there will be 3 talks about different subjects. The 3 talks will be held in English and broadcasted trough Google hang-out. So everyone can follow them.

Details from Erik:

UltiEvening talks (some/most in Dutch) will be broadcasted on Google Hangout! Be sure to tune in, especially if you're Dutch, the talks will be of value, otherwise you'll still be able to get an idea of what's going on. We will encourage English talks, but it wasn't a requirement before, so we won't force people to do so :)

To participate in the hangout, be sure to add (and Plus) Ultimaker's google+ page and also, ensure that you can reach me through my personal google+.

For bandwidth reasons we will offer one streaming method. If Google turns out to be unsatisfactory, we could switch to ustream.

Cheers,

There will be speakers on the following topics:

Douwe van der Veen will tell about bioprinting. He is a biotechnologist, who works on a bioprinting project together with Jelle Boomstra at Protospace. He will tell you something about a modular printhead construction that they made.

Marrit Hofmans will demonstrate 3D scanning of people using the programm reconstruct-me..

Martijn Elserman, who will tell you something about the design of a new hot-end. There has been a lot of talk about new technologies and Martijn is going to show, what he has been working on so far.

The talks start around 20:00 dutch time. So feel free to join us online!

(I've also heard something about an yet unannounced announcement, so if you want to keep on top of the Ultimaker news, be sure to tune in on time!)

I am not familiar with google hangout. Is that also a way where the stream is recorded and can be viewed afterwards. As 20:00 dutch time is 4:00 am in Australia, and though being keen to watch thats not really the time when I am able to listen.
