Ultimaker Original - I can't build it...

Hi everybody,

I've bought an Ultimaker Original recently from a French reseller. I was looking forward to build it today. Unfortunately, everything went wrong:

- At the very first step, I needed 8 screws of 12mm, I got only 6...

- In other sections of the user manual, parts were totally missing.

- Regarding the frame itself, the bottom panel is completely wrong in terms of dimensions.

Therefore, I can't even build it... Is there someone who already faced such problems ? I was expecting a better result for such a printer...

Regards,

Pascal.

Make a list of parts missing. Contact support. They will want to know what is missing so they can feedback to the people who create these kits. They will ship you the missing parts.

Can you post the Right panel, the one with the outputs for the board... I think you have a umo+ frame.

If that's so, you should stop assembling it immediately and wait they exchange that part, since the board won't fit, nither the board fans, etc etc. Unless you are ready to cut/drill wood (been there done that and can be done but it's so time consuming to make it right).

    Hi Neotko,

all other panels are "squared" (the UMO+ is higher than UMO). I talked with Ultimaker guys on Twitter. It is known that some kits were delivered with the wrong bottom panel. I'm gonna ask my reseller to send me a new panel + missing parts (some screws, etc.).
