Unwanted Supports Bisecting Solid Part

You can see above that it is putting a couple layers of support in the middle of the solid model I have, yet only visible through the layer view. If it turned out as the normal view shows, all would be well.

Additionally it is doing this at a couple other places higher up on the print in the layer view, however I aborted the print after this one was caught

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if it is just some easy fix/setting I accidentally missed.

The red areas in xray view are causing the problem. They are extra internal walls or holes.

cura pases a line from your eye through the model and out. If it passes through an odd number of walls it colors it red indicating a serious problem with the model (not manifold). You can try the "fix horrible" settings in cura - one of those checkboxes might fix it but there are 11 possible configurations of checkboxes to try (never click both A and B). Instead try to fix your model - maybe use netfabb website which is incredibly easy to use and will fix these red areas.

Thanks, I'll work on fixing that now. Hopefully that's a solution to all of it.

Also you don't need "support everywhere" so you should consider doing only "touching buildplate" for htis model  Or even better design your own support that only covers a small amount of the bottom surface - not as much as cura support did (or change the "support angle" in cura).

I could be wrong about support everywhere as I can't see the top of your part.

Yeah, I have features that were not printed - because I stopped it half way through - that need support. It's a large tube with features protruding off of it, which seems to need a lot of supports for all the overhangs.

I am not sure if you already managed to print it or not. Just like it's been said before red areas do indicate error in the model. I would suggest to try is to run it through on one of the repair services. Someone already suggested Netfabb but if you want a quick fix try https://makeprintable.com/. Also, meshmixer is another one. It really depends on what you need.
