Error 500 accessing forum

I keep running into this today.

The forum just keeps getting slower and slower. :(

We are a few steps away to making it much faster! .. does it sound like I am repeating myself? Several attempts have been made in the past, which led to various results, maybe depending on where you are located here on this big globe.

We are preparing for a migration of servers which should make the site much faster for everyone! (preparation is unfortunately not a one-night thing..)

However this should not lead to a 500 error message. Does it happen often, just this day, only once?

I saw that error yesterday and I have come across it randomly over the month.

Maybe it's just happening on this side of the Atlantic Ocean?

BB-8 is slowly making progress. Those 24 frame pieces take 15 hours each. I really need more printers

Oh wow, a 5 year old post!

 

I used ColorFabb nGen for mine.  I paused BB-8 in favor of some other projects.

I used the suggested settings from Cary in his files.

 

What orientation are you printing in?  Screenshot? Material? Maybe I can help

I am printing with the curve of the piece facing forward. It is straight. I am using gray Anycubic filament. It had good reviews. I tried using supports on the edge there where it's messing up, but that didn't help. Here's my settings.

I guess I would start with the basics.  This is on an Anycubic Chiron?  Or?

 

I would verify the esteps are correct for your extruder.  (https://mattshub.com/blogs/blog/extruder-calibration)

Then I would do an extrusion multiplier test print or two to dial in your flow rate/ extrusion multiplier

 

You really want to rule out over/under extruding right off.

 

I'm not a fan of Anycubic materials and for something like a frame, this is that one time I'd splurge for better stuff.  (Versus a critical failure later and ponder how much you really saved)

 

With that said, I would also suggest doing a temperature tower so you can find out the sweet spot for your filament.  I see a lot of people "guessing" on this and one temp tower can really save some bad guesses.

 

You could find that just doing these fine calibrations could produce a vastly better print.

 

Printing requires some fine tuning!
