Cura silent install

Hello,

We've just bought an Ultimaker 3 Extended and we are a large architectural firm, so I want to deploy the Cura software silently remote.

I don't expect a MSI-file for installation, but are the any silent parameters to the EXE I can use?

The software that I use to deploy my software remotely is PDQ Deployment.

Thanks,

Lars

Hi @lbemelmans, welcome to the community!

Excited to hear you bought an Ultimaker 3 Extended for your architectural firm. Anything you can share on what kind of applications you will be using it for?

In regard of the silent install, I will call in help from @Nallath, I think he should be able to provide some information.

    Thanks!

I'm not aware of any specific silent installation, but windows isn't my main operating system.

We are on the windows store, which if I recall correctly, should allow for an admin to add applications to a machine.

    Hi there,

I think that Windows MSI installers include built-in support for silent installs. It has been a long time since I did Windows sysadmin work though.

I did a quick Google search for "windows msi silent install" and several links seem to give some steps to try.

Assuming Cura's MSI is not weird in some way, something from that search might work for you.

Hope this helps. :) Good luck!
