Came across this great development by Mark Wheadon who makes beautiful prints with his idea to combine a pattern and print speed. His idea was made into an app by Guillaume and is easy to use. Find more about this here and support these guys!

The idea is that you take a good black and white picture (white is fast, black is slow) and use one of the projections (x-y-z-cylinder-sphere) on an already sliced gcode. The viewer on the site makes it easy to see the result.
