Hi, everyone!

I upgraded my UM2 Extended to a UM2+ Extended with the UM upgrade kit. After installation, I updated the firmware to 2.6.2 through Cura per the kit instructions. After the update though, my build plate is crashing into the print head when raising the plate to start a print and when selecting "Raise Buildplate" from the Maintenance menu. I've tried a couple of things already with no results:

  • Rechecked all of the connections on the board to make sure nothing was accidentally unplugged when installing the new extruder
  • Reinstalled the firmware

When running through the leveling routine, the plate stops in the correct location. My searches have turned up very little that fits the bill for this situation, so any ideas and/or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Do a "Reset to factory settings". There are values about print volume and such that can get corrupted during a firmware upgrade. The only bad thing about this is that you will have to relevel which you probably should try anyway. So go for it.

Thanks for the reply! I'll give that a shot Monday morning and report back.

That took care of it. Thanks for your help!
