I recommend deleting all the old profile information from cura 2.6 by closing cura, then deleting the %appdata%/cura and %localappdata%/cura folders and then restarting cura 2.7 to see if that helps.

But before you nuke everything, zip it up and post the zip somewhere so a dev can have a look to see *why* it crashed.
