How to remove z-axis poles (UM2+)?

Recommended Posts

A thin blade like a utility knife has always worked for me. Slide it in between the frame and the cap and pry it out.

You'll probably also find that the rods are very firmly stuck in the frame. To get those out I usually wrap a piece of cloth (like a micro fibre cloth or similar) around the rod once and then twist the remainder to form a sort of handle. Then I use that to rotate and push the rod out.

    • Taking Advantage of DfAM
This is a statement that’s often made about AM/3DP. I'll focus on the way DfAM can take advantage of some of the unique capabilities that AM and 3DP have to offer. I personally think that the use of AM/3DP for light-weighting is one of it’s most exciting possibilities and one that could play a key part in the sustainability of design and manufacturing in the future.
