Yes, I think it is the exact same issue. We just saw the faulty IP adress a few weeks ago.
I think this issue can happen when the printer becomes a new IP address from the DHCP server.
Just a guess: Maybe this happens if the DHCP server is slow - the printer then assigns its last IP address for the API. When the printer gets its address from the DHCP server somehow the IP address is not properly updated.

New IP address for the printer I can eleminate: 2 days in use and IP lease time is approx 30 days from DHCP Server. Additinal to that the shown IP is not in the range of the IP addresses the Server assigns.
I solved the problem as follows:
Deleted the Software, all drivers and configurations from PC (Only the SW is not enough). After new installation and configuration all is working fine. So there went something wron during installation of the drivers (copy error, somthing strange written during installation, what ever). Why it worked after disabeling the Lan/Wifi and enabeling again, I don't know. But that shows, that the Frimware and the driver can check the problem and solve it by themselves.
Reason of that procedure:
The printer was every time available by ping or browser (Log Data; temepratures) over network after switching on the printer. The problem was only available when entering the functionality of the Cura driver (printer queue; printer details) for the printer. That indicated, that it was somthing with the SW/driver.
Macio, maybe you can double check this solution?

sorry - can't agree.
We also saw the problem only using a web browser without Cura being involved.
When entering the IP adress of the printer you can manually visit the page that is normaly opened via Cura (there is a link on the first page, I dont know the name right now).
I think the printer works as "group master", in case you are using more then one printer you can reach them all via this interface. In case you only have one printer the group master only shows one available printer (which is the group master itself).
Somehow the group master configuration has a wrong IP adress stored for the only available printer (the group master itself).
This explanation is my own interpretation of the logs where the printer tries to connect whith itself using a false ip adress so I may be totally wrong (see my initial post, I have posted parts of the logs).
Hopefully you can follow my thoughts, obviously I am not a native english speaker.
@macio, if you could share your log files with me (feel free to send me a direct message with the full log attached), I can share these with my colleagues as well. If there is indeed a problem in the firmware or hardware, it will give us the information we need to work towards a solution.

yes, in meantime I agree to you. Worked for 1 Print after installin PC SW new.
Yesterday it took me 3h to get a connection to the printer by network (switching on or off of the printer or the network interface of the printer has reestablished the connection). Not even a ping has worked, so it couldn't be the sw which I reinstalled.
The strange thing is: if I ping to the IP of the printer: e.g. x.x.x.80 (printer never had an other IP, no other device had the IP before) I get back x.x.x.65 does not answer, sometimes I got back x.x.x.35 does not answer (35 is the IP address of an other deivce in the network, which was switched off during the ping).
That seems to sustain your theorie.
A seach for "wrong IP address by ping" only showed some DNS problems and how to fix, but no name was used, only the IP so that DNS should not be the problem.
Nothing worked to get back the network connection: Other PC, other Wifi, other Router, switchin off or restarting one of the devices. Even a new installation/configuration of the printer Wifi/Lan hasn't established the connection again.
I got back the network connection only by switching off all devices (ALL: Router, Wifi, PC, printer) for approx 15 min. (it is a hard long time 15 minutes without internet or phone!). After switching on all devices I got a new firmware for the printer. Then, after switching on all devices AND inatalling the new FW the connection worked (tested until this morning).

I've log datas stored from Sunday, when the Wifi connection lost during a print (No acces to the printer possible, same ping result like described above in this post). That I can send you, if that helps. If there is a log file stored in the printer (and I can access them later), I can send the datas from yesterday also, but I had no chance to copy them, because of no access to the printer until switched off.

tested LAN (x.x.x.81), is now working, so that it seems not to be a routing issue or error in router mixing up IP adresses. Only Wifi (x.x.x.80) is the problem today (see above).

Hi @Ich , I haven't read the entire thread so my apologies if it has already been suggested. There could be a bug in the firmware that does not properly recognizes the IP of your Ultimaker after a reboot. I would like you to try the following, when your Ultimaker 3 is on, go in the menu and turn network connectivity on and off. Now you should be able to find it and connect to it, and retrieve data via Cura Connect.
If we're onto the same problem, this should fix it for as long as you continue to run your Ultimaker 3. When you reboot your Ultimaker 3, you will loose your IP again and have to reconnect again. This bug was introduced when we rewrote big parts of the connection code of Cura Connect and should be fixed in the next firmware release. The next stable is still a few weeks away, but the new testing firmware could also be worth testing. This is approximately 2 weeks away.

Hi @SandervG, thanks for your hint. That was the problem when starting with the printer. After new installation the SW and driver on the PC that was no longer that problem, because after switching on the printer I had directly access to it.
During the first 2,5h print (after solving the problem descibed first) the network was disconnected after 1,5h and the printer was not longer accessable (see above). From this moment the printer was only reachable for some time (from 2 minutes up to 2 hours; problem was not solveable by switching off and on off the Wifi at the printer). After that time the printer was not reachabel by Wifi. LAN worked sometimes (Sunday and yesterday evening), but Wifi was not calculateable permanently reachable. I Discribed above, how I tried to fix it, but nothing worked for longer than several minutes. Thats the reason I posted the Log File from yesterday. Can you see any problem with the hardware there?
Sure I'll try the testing FW, to doulbe check if it solves my actual proiblem too.

tried to update the Firmware (Lan). In both cases (stable and test) printer told me, that i'm running the actual version (in display it showed version 4.2.5 dated 02.01.2018).
So if you have a version i can test, please send it to me.

Hi @Ich, there are several error messages that indicate that the fix in upcoming firmware will help you a great deal. A couple of suggestions to help you in the meantime:
Are there many Ultimaker or other devices connected to your network? It can be that the network in general is being overloaded, and therefor it is more difficult to connect to it.

thanks for your reply. Yes, there are a couple of devices connented to the Wifi: two cell phones, one handhelt tablet and sometimes a laptop as well.
What i tested meanwhile: AVM router (6490); Asus RT-AC66U (both in 2.4 and 5 GHz available) and a Huawei E5786 (only 2.4 GHz available). Alsobresetee Cura settings at the printer several times.
With all router the connection was stable, if the distance to printer was less than 1,5m. If the distance is more than 3 m i get connection problems, but only after beginning a print (up to 1,5h).
Thelast thing i had to check was the aerial of the Wifi, but i didn't want to dismount the printer cover, so i packed the printer into its box to send it back to my dealer.
So thank you very much for your help and support, but i will not go on with that printer.
