Any way to delete or skip layers in Cura?

I'm printing onto glass for a specialistr application. It's essentially a lithophane, but I don't need a thin overall background because it wil remain supported on the glass. Is there a way to delete the first 4 or 5 layers or tell my 3D printer to start from a higher layer?

Thanks!

Absolutely - you need to move it and give it a negative Z value such as -0.5mm.  Click on the part and select the move icon on the left edge (towards top).

HOWEVER, by default it will not let you change Z away from zero.  To do that go into cura preferences (this is a cura-wide setting.  Not a profile setting) and there is a checkbox to uncheck  - something like "always drop parts to the glass" or "disable z movement" or something.  It's kind of obvious I think.  And there are only about 10 options in there.  I think.

Thats good advice for "deleting" layers from printing on the bottom of the print. However, is there a way to make Cura skip printing the last (top) layer? For example, I want to, within Cura, skip printing the final layer, layer 107.
