My 12yo son received a Monoprice Mini printer and I'm trying to help him figure it out. Unfortunately I'm not very tech savy. We can't get anything to print other than the file that came pre-loaded. Cura 15 was provided on the SD card. I see 15 is no longer being developed and 3.2 is the more current software. Does it make a difference which version is used?

I strongly recommend you stick with cura 15.  At least for the first 100 prints.

Cura 15 works great and I still use it on some of my printers.  Cura 3.X has a huge learning curve and will waste time trying to get things working - it will be a distraction.
