Hello,

I just have installed the latest Elementary OS 5.0 Juno and searched for Cura in the AppCenter and found that the version available is 3.1.0.

Why isn't the latest version 3.5.1 like in the website for download - AppImage ?

Isn't the developers who upload the latest version of their software?

It also happens in the Ubuntu Software Center.

Ultimaker only publishes the appimage on software.ultimaker.com. It is up to other repositories to pick it up. Some choose to repackage Cura, some choose to distribute the appimage.

Through this post I would like to further explain what we are doing, and what you could be doing.
Our efforts consist of 2 layers. First; connect medical institutions and hospitals to (local) 3D Printing hubs to help them print parts of which a 3D model already exists. And second, contribute to design the necessary part and then have it printed via a (local) 3D printing hub. Experts are available from within Ultimaker and from within our network of 3D printing experts.
