In German section of this forum user DeerDingsda is currently experimenting with PE and HDPE but without any results yet. So go ahead and give it a try on your Ultimaker and report how's it performs as a 3d printing material. I'm curious, too.

I just gave PEHD a try and print a cooling spirale for an injection mold round core but unfortunately the print fail after 6 hours of printing out of 8 hours. PEHD does not stick to the print bed... I've tried clear packaging tape, Ultimaker adhesion sheet, saran wrap, 3D lac on a 85°C glass... Nothing seems to work with HDPE where I got some succes with PP...

If any one has some experience with HDPE please share.
