Makerware's extruder priming gcode for Ultimaker

I've noticed that every single time my Replicator's prints start successfully, and that most of the time my Utlimaker's print start unsuccessfully (they fail).

So I would like my Utlimaker to use Makerware's start gcode. Since I don't know gcode programming yet, could someone else do it ?

Can't you cut and paste?

The gcodes are very simple. You only have to learn about 10 of them. How hard can it be?

Just look up the first few that the replicator used and the first few that the UM uses and look them up here:

I mean if you understand what "sets the temperature of the nozzle" means then I think you can figure it out. They are quite simple and well explained. The above link even explains the differences (if there are any) between gcodes used in Marlin and some other firmware versions.

Makerware uses it's own standard of GCode and isn't compatible with the Ultimaker.

You could change the start code a bit. There is a "G1 F200 E3 ;extrude 3mm of feed stock" in there, change the "E3" to "E10" and it will prime the nozzle better. You could also have an issue with your bed height causing your prints to fail at the start. Hard to say without more info then "they fail"
