Question and possible suggestion for cura

Recommended Posts

It is already possible, you set the infill to 8% and then you have to make an additional part (design a simple cube somewhere) and put this cube (or any other shape you need) onto the build plate. Position these object to overlap your part you want to have 100% infill and then select from the left menu "Per model setting" -> "Modify setting for infill of other models" and choose the setting you want.

This helper part will not print, it is just to change parameters where it overlaps with your main model.

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
